Introduction

About Me

I am an A-Level Film Studies student at HRSFC with a keen interest in exploring the meanings behind film through cinematography. As a unashamed horror buff, I often find it hard to step out of my comfort zone regarding the types of films I watch but I've always had a soft spot for crime dramas and thrillers. Doing this A-Level course has opened my eyes to the world of film as an art and the industry surrounding it.

The Task

For my Film Studies NEA, I will use this blog to record my research of short films to show my understanding of short film when it comes to either create a complete film, or write a screenplay, finished with an evaluation of the process. At first glance, I am most interested in directing my own short film as although I'm fairly confident in writing, I feel I could create something better visually. As there is no set genre or theme I feel like the freedom to explore the creation of a film would be really beneficial to my interest.
